*Somerset Staffies is based in Weston Super Mare, Somerset, but we rehome nationwide.
*We are happy to consider rehoming to families with children, on the condition that the dog is suitable to live in a family environment. We also strongly advise parents to educate their children in dog safety and to never leave their dog and children alone together.
*All rehomings are subject to a homecheck. This is basically a visit from one of our home check team who checks that the property is secure and safe for a dog to live in. This also allows us to find out more about the home the dog would be living in, and match the right dog to the right home.
*We reserve the right to carry out a follow up homecheck 6 months after adoption.
*Our conditions of adoption are the following:
The new owners must
1.Not to use the dog for breeding.
2.Not to part with the dog other than return it to the rescue
3.Provide qualified veterinary treatment in cases of illness or injury
4.To feed and house the dog to the rescues satisfaction
5.To insure the dog wears a collar and disc with correct contact details at all times
6.To notify police, dog warden and rescue within 24 hours should the dog go missing
7.The dog must be neutered at the relevant age and proof must be sent to the rescue
If these conditions are not met then we reserve the right to reclaim the dog in question
*We ask for a donation to help us cover some of the cost of neutering, vaccinating, treatments against worms/fleas and any other treatment the dog may need while he/she is in our care.
*We provide lifelong rescue back up for any of the dogs we rehome.
